PUNCH BUNCH #5

RECEIVE FREE STAMP SETS DURING THE
STAMPIN' UP! SALE-A-BRATION!

Today's share involves the last stamp in the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch stamp set.  This stamp is titled "True Friend".  It's a small stamp; however, you'll be limited only by your imagination when you use it.

If it's difficult to read on the card, the words in the circle around "true friend" are "GENUINE ARTICLE - ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES".  As shared before, each stamp within the Punch Bunch stamp set coordinates with a Stampin' Up! punch.  The punch this stamp coordinates with is the Stampin' Up! 1" Circle punch.

I used a sheet of the Sale-a-bration Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper and Quick Accents Pack on the bottom half of the card.  This DSP is FREE when you buy $50 in Stampin' Up! products during the Sale-a-bration.

The letters "F", "R", "I", "E", "N", and "D" were created with My Digital Studio  and attached to the Peach Parfait "wave" made with the Stampin' Up! Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die.  The Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die is available in the Holiday Mini Catalog that expires on January 3, 2011.  Order it now while it's still available!

Visit again tomorrow to see another featured FREE stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration, beginning on January 25.

PUNCH BUNCH #4

FREE WITH EITHER A $50 PURCHASE OR A $300 WORKSHOP
THAT YOU HOST!

It's a very nice day in Florida today, which makes me happy as I don't like the cold weather.  I guess the cold weather (i.e., below freezing) we've experienced is caused by "GLOBAL WARMING" that we hear so much about! (lol) Wonder what will happen when the "ICE AGE" comes around??? OK...no more politics!

This card spotlights the WELCOME BABY stamp from the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Punch Bunch. Buy $50 in Stampin' Up! products and get this stamp set FREE! There is a coordinating punch with each stamp in the Punch Bunch stamp set. The Stampin' Up! Large Tag (title per catalog - title per on-line store is Small Tag) punch coordinates with the Welcome Baby stamp.  The Stampin' Up! Extra Large Tag (title per catalog - title per on-line store is Large Tag) punch was used to create a mat for the stamped Welcome Baby.

Also featured on this card is the beautiful Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper (DSP) & Quick Accents Pack, Ice Cream Parlor. The Ice Cream Parlor DSP is also FREE with a $50 purchase. I made the pacifier (yes, it's a pacifier) by using the 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval Large Punch to make the top and bottom of the pacifier.  Then I used the 1-3/8" x 5/8" Oval Large Punch to cut the center from the bottom oval, which created the handle for the pacifier.  Lastly, I used the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel on the Daffodil Delight card stock behind the Welcome Baby, and the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die for the zig-zag pattern on the card.

What do you think about my pacifier?  Or better yet, what do you think of the card?

The second card features the Stampin' Up! Fireside Christmas stamp set.  (I wouldn't mind a "fireside" in Florida tonight - it's cold.)

Both stamp sets go away on January 3, 2011. If you want them, buy now at the Guneaux Designs 24/7 store.

SWEET SUMMER #4

The weather is turning cold again in Florida, and I suppose one is to like that considering the time of the year.  However, I don't like cold, dreary weather.  So I'm trying to spend more time in my craft room creating with the cheerful colors featured in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration catalogs.

This card is my fourth share spotlighting the Sweet Summer stamp set that is FREE with a $50 purchase of Stampin' Up! products during the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration.  The butterfly and flower on the card are additional stamps from the set.

The card is made from Marina MistCajun Craze, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, and Daffodil Delight card stock and/or ink. For embellishments, the Stampin' Up! Square Lattice Embossing Folder and Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon were used.  Doesn't Cajun Craze and Marina Mist go together so well?

Don't search for the item numbers of the Stampin' Up! products used for this card.  Place your curisor over the links, click, and shop.  Remember, you save when you shop directly on line.

STAMPIN' UP! SWEET SUMMER

It's a beautiful day here in Florida; so beautiful that I am wearing shorts (sorry, my stamping pals from up North)!

I'm running behind today; however, as promised yesterday, here is another card featuring stamps in the Stampin' Up! Sweet Summer stamp set that becomes available on January 25, 2011 during the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration.

The bird and greenery on the card are two more stamps in the stamp set.  The butterfly is actually in another Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration stamp set, the So Happy for You.  The very popular Stampin' Up! Top Note was used to made the left side of the card, which is made with the new Stampin' Up! Designer Fabric, Springtime Vintage, in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  These fabrics are beautiful and so cheery!

The card stock and ink used are the Rose Red, Pacific Point, and Whisper White.  The Stampin' Up! Embossing Folder, Square Lattice, was used to emboss the Pacific Point card stock.  The Stampin' Up! Photo Corners punch was used for the Rose Red corners.  And the beautiful Pacific Point button is from the Stampin' Up! Ribbon and Button Pack in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  Remember that you get this stamp set FREE when you buy $50 of Stampin' Up! products beginning on January 25.

Stampin' Up! has so many wonderful products in both the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration and Occasions Mini Catalogs.  I am really enjoying them.

Please enjoy the card and if you want to purchase the available items, click on the links above and you will be taken to my 24/7 store.  Shop on line; you'll receive a discount on most items.

Occasions Mini Catalog debuts on January 4, 2011.  Subsequently, Sale-a-bration debuts on January 25.  Sale-a-bration is a Stampin' Up! annual event that we all wait for.  I am so excited about the colors and stamp sets that are featured.  The colors certainly will lift your spirits, especially with the cold weather we are experiencing in Florida, as well as the rest of the US!

How to Make a Candy Cane Christmas Wreath

I want you to enjoy my last creation using the beautiful Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) as I share how you can make one too.

Do you ever reach back to your teenage years and think of the art that you created then?  No matter how simple it was, I still remember a piece of art that I created in my high school "shorthand" class.  (Art and shorthand....[scratching head]...somehow they went together then LOL.) Well, this Candy Cane Christmas Wreath is a re-creation of that piece of art that I created in high school. Wow!  Such a long time ago, but pleasant memories!

The wreath looks more difficult to create than it is.  I cut strips of the Candy Cane Christmas DSP at approximately 5" x 2-3/4", glued together one of the long ends on each strip (creating a triangle), and began developing the wreath by adhering the first row to the outer edge of a piece of cardboard in the shape of a 12" circle.  I repeated the pattern until I had adhered all of the pieces that I needed to fill in the wreath.  I cut the paper strips to about 4" for the last two rows.  I think the Candy Cane Christmas DSP makes the wreath beautiful!  What do you think?

I used the fabulous Pretty in Pink and Marina Mist Stampin' Up! 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to form a bow.  I used a strip of the Pretty in Pink Stampin' Up! 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to create my "hanger", adhered it to the back of the wreath and attached the bow at the top.  You must buy this ribbon if you haven't already.  It is super to work with and so beautiful.  You will not be disappointed!

The center of the wreath is an eight-layer flower that I created using the Stampin' Up! Fancy Flower Punch.  I wove Stampin' Up! Silver Tinsel Trim within the flower to give it a little glitz.

Now it's your turn.  Make this easy wreath (using DSP of your choice) and send me pictures of your creation!  And, if you need to purchase any of the Stampin' Up! products, don't waste time searching for the item numbers. Just place your cursor over the product name above, left click, and the product will be right before you to purchase on line.

Don't disappoint me!  I want to see your creations; you still have time before Christmas arrives!

Candles and Decor Elements

I love sitting around a dinner table with family and lite candles as lite candles in the evening create such a warm, peaceful ambiance.  My family's Christmas dinner is always after the sun sets, and the table is set with lite candles glowing around the impeccably, delicious dinner.  We can't imagine Christmas dinner without the candles.  Because I love candles, I decided to use Stampin' Up! products to create the following designed candles and the table runner on which they sit.

The table runner features the Candy Cane Christmas Decor Elements.  The Stampin' Up! Definitely Decorative Elements are so easy to use and create beautiful embellishments.

I was excited about using the Stampin' Up! Black Flourish Designer Jewels on this candle.  Don't they add such glitz?

This candle is decorated with the fantastic Stampin' Up! Silver Glitter Glass (wait until you see the new color of Glitter Glass that is coming out on January 3th!  It is beautiful!).  Other embellishments used include the ornament from the Stampin' Up! Tags til Christmas Stamp Set, Versamark Ink, Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder, Marina Mist and Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Ink, and the fabulous Silver Tinsel Trim.
It is sad to see the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog go as it is packed with so many wonderful products.  However, the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog is packed full with wonderful, bright, and cheerful products that will keep us satisfied!

Don't waste time searching for the item numbers for the above Stampin' Up! products.  Just place your cursor over the product name, left click, and the product will be right before you to purchase on line.

Pop-Up Snowman

A few weeks ago while out shopping, I came across a very charming pop-up Christmas card featuring a snowman.  I was so intrigued by it that I purchased it, brought it home, and took it apart to see how it was made.  Well, I decided that I wanted to replicate it, or try to.  Here is my version after about three weeks of designing and developing.

PRINCESS ERIKA

I have been looking forward to using the Stampin' Up! Build-A-Bear collection, and yesterday gave me the opportunity.  Yesterday was my granddaughter, Erika's, birthday.  The theme for her birthday party was "build-a-bear" with bright pink and dark purple.  I was running late for her party, so this card was made in a very short time (way to go Nana!).  It's not my best piece of work, but what can one expect when rushing.

The Stampin' Up! Bear Bigz DieBeary Essentials Bigz DieBeary Girl Sizzlits Die, and Beary Love Sizzlits Die were used to make Princess Erika and her accessories.  The wonderful Stampin' Up! Tags Til Christmas stamp set was used to create the "Dec. 5" that she holds in her hand.  Her background was created using the Stampin' Up! Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), sponged with Concord Crush Ink (Classic Stampin' Pad).  Her crown is a stamp from the Extreme Elements Stamp Brush Set of My Digital Studio.  The Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo and Concord Crush card stock was used to create the card.  It is embellished with Stampin' Up! In Color Glimmer Brads (Concord Crush).

Feedback is appreciated!
