Tool Tip - Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets

Typically, the Stampin' Up! Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets are used to adhere die cuts to paper (e.g.,cardstock and designer series paper), fabric to paper, or other crafting items to various forms of base material.  Today, I have another application to share with you.

This tip involves using an adhesive sheet, the Stampin' Up! Large Lace Ribbon Border Punch, and Stampin' Glitter.  However, the tip can be used with any Stampin' Up! punch.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Using a piece of an Adhesive Sheet, punch a Lace Ribbon Border with the Large Lace Ribbon Border Punch.  Measure and cut to the size desired.

2. Carefully remove the "Sizzix" backing from the Lace Ribbon Border piece, ensuring the adhesive remains. Try to not touch the adhesive side with your fingers to prevent removing the adhesive.

3.  Select a glitter of your choice and cover the Lace Ribbon Border with the glitter.  Using the back of a small spoon or other object, gently tap the glitter down onto the adhesive strip.

4.  Using tweezers, lift the Lace Ribbon Border from the glitter.  Using the spoon, gently pat down the glitter again to ensure adhesion.

5.  Embellish a card with your glitter-covered Lace Ribbon Border.

I encourage you to think outside the box and discover other ways to use the adhesive sheets.

What a great idea to use adhesive sheets for intricate borders like this one! I was just surfing the internet for inspiration and came across your blog. I make cards for our troops stationed across the globe through Operation Write Home and enjoy checking out card maker blogs from time to time. You have a great blog!
