Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Greeting Card

Do you have difficulty creating Stampin' Up! greeting cards for men?  What do you usually rely on for elements of the card - trees, boats, lighthouses, birds, etc.?  If so, you're like me.  Making masculine cards is one of my struggles when it comes to card making.  Therefore, I decided to use primarily paper and sentiments for this Happy Birthday card for a male.  However, I did add a bird at the last minute (can't help myself...LOL).

I created this card with the new Stampin' Up! Well Worn Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, and Very Vanilla cardstock.  The sentiment, "You only live once..." is from the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set (A floral stamp set for a masculine card???).  The Happy Birthday cake is from the Stampin' Up! Bring on the Cake Stamp Set.   The beautiful bird is the Stampin' Up! Young Vermillion that I used colored pencils to apply color.  Isn't he cute?  Please enjoy!

Do you have this DSP?  If not, this is a great month to stock up on DSP while there's a special going on.  Click on "Stampin' Up! Specials" at the top of this site for complete details.  Purchase the products used for this project by clicking on the links in this post.
