Happy Birthday Card - Stampin' Up! Paisley Petals (CS26A)

My share today is about one of the greeting cards, Happy Birthday, that matches the purse I shared yesterday, which was made with Stampin' Up! Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I've enlarged the pictures so they can be seen clearly and won't need much of an explanation to make the card.

The first layer of the card is the reverse side of the Paisley Petals design that is on the top layer. The second layer is River Rock Card Stock that was embossed with the Stampin' Up! Finial Press Embossing Folder. The top layer is the Paisley Petals DSP over a Baja Breeze, Top Note Stampin' Up! Bigz Die cutout.

Additional Stampin' Up! products used are:

Birthday Wishes, Occasional Quotes Stamp Set
Birthday Bakery Stamp Set (inside the card)
Vintage Flowers
Basic Pearls Jewel Accents
Whisper White Organza Ribbon
Scalloped Trim Border Punch

Stampin' Up! Paisley Petals Purse and Matching Greeting Cards

My friends, I have another Stampin' Up! Paisley Petals personally-designed purse and matching greeting cards for you.  I am so enjoying my new line of creations using the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It has been great fun creating purses lately.  Today I'll discuss the purse and show closeups of it, and the rest of the week I'll discuss the greeting cards.

This purse measures 8" x 7-1/2" x 1", and it easily holds the three matching cards.  Actually, it will hold at least five, depending upon the embellishments added to the cards.

The handle of the purse was made by braiding two strands of Baja Breeze Seam Binding and one strand of Very Vanilla Seam Binding.  The purse front is made with Baja Breeze Card Stock, Paisley Petals DSP, and Baja Breeze DSP Patterns (unavailable).  The center piece of the purse is embellished with three Baja Breeze Vintage Flowers and several Basic Pearls Jewel Accents.

On the side of the purse are a Trinket Key and Vanilla Pearl Simply Adorned Bauble that are attached with Baja Breeze Seam Binding and part of the handle that was made with one of the Lots of Tags Stampin' Up! Sizzlits.

The last picture shows the inside of the purse that is designed with the reverse side of the Baja Breeze DSP Patterns that is on the front and sides of the purse.  I hope you've enjoyed my personally-designed purse!

I am looking forward to my next purse design!

Happy Birthday Greeting Card - Stampin' Up! Paisley Petals

My share with you today features a Happy Birthday Greeting Card that spotlights another design from the beautiful Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP).

This card is made using both sides of one design from the DSP.  The card base is made with the Stampin' Up! Card Stock, River Rock.  The first layer on the card is the Stampin' Up! Baja Breeze Card Stock and the second is the DSP.  After layering the card stock and DSP, an X was cut on the top portion of the card.  The was separated and the flaps were folded back and adhered.  The Stampin' Up! Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch was used to create the ribbon on the card front.  The sentiment is the Happy Birthday stamp from the Create a Cupcake stamp set.  You will notice that the center of selected flowers are covered with Baja Breeze Stampin' Glitter.

The inside of the card is layered with the opposite side of the DSP.  The card's inside shows the cupcake that pops through to the card front.  It was made with the Create A Cupcake stamp set.  The top portion of the cupcake was decorated with individual pieces from the Baja Breeze Stampin' Glitter.

ENJOY!

God's Blessings!

Paisley Petals - Stampin Up Greeting Cards for the Hand Purse

As promised yesterday, today's share is about the Stampin Up greeting cards that go with the hand purse that I featured yesterday.  These are miniture cards ranging in size from 3-1/2" by 2-1/2" to 4-1/2" by 3", which fit inside the hand purse.  All three cards are made with the Stampin Up Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper.

This card is made with one of the Paisley Petals designs.  As you can see, it's not the usual fold for a card.  When the card is closed, the two sides come together perfectly; neither overlapping the other.  Like sewing fabrics that require "matching", I tried to match up the DSP so the same flower is on both sides of the card and positioned close to the same.  This card was made with Stampin Up Bashful Blue, Whisper White, and Peach Parfait card stock.  One of the frames from the Four Frames Stamp Set (available April 1) was used and embellished with a flower and pearl.  The frame is attached to the card on the left side.  The sentiment is from the Stampin Up You're a Gem stamp set.

This is the inside of the card, which is decorated with "little things".

This card is made with another design of the Paisley Petals.  It is the same design as the card above, and it features the lovely Stampin Up Sale-a-bration Bliss stamp set.

The inside of the card also features the Bliss stamp set.

This card is the smallest of the three.  I used the brayering technique, one of my favorite.  It features the same design of the Paisley Petals as the card above.  I modified the step card slightly so it would have the bird a little higher than the first step.  I was hoping that the bird appears to be close up but within the branches of the trees in the background.  Also, I added a little flower on the first step of the card.

I hope you have enjoyed this post.

Stampin Up 3-D Design - Paisley Petals Hand Purse and Greeting Cards

I'm excited today to share with you another Stampin Up Paisley Petals Design.  I am quickly using up the Designer Series Paper, so I can't wait until April 1 to purchase more.

My share is a hand purse, which I designed, and Stampin Up greeting cards small enough to fit inside the hand purse.  I am really pleased with my designs.  I must say, I so enjoy creating paper crafts!

I will share the details of the hand purse today, and the cards tomorrow.   The front of the hand purse is decorated with Baja Breeze Stampin Glitter, butterflies from the Stampin Up Beautiful Wings Embosslits Dies, and Basic Pearls Jewels

Are you wondering about the chain?  Well, it is the Stampin Up Simply Adorned 24" Chain.  I have to say that I was impressed with myself when I thought of using the chain for the purse handle (LOL - come on, aren't you proud of yourself occasionally?).  I think the chain fits just perfectly with the purse.  You will notice one of the beautiful, stately Trinket Crowns attached to the chain.  Just love it!

This picture shows the greeting cards inside the hand purse.  I used Velcro for the fastener.

Now, are you saying, "What can I do with a paper purse!"?  Let me tell you!  Wouldn't this be a beautiful gift for a hostess?  What about a birthday gift?  I think it would be perfect for a new Stampin Up Demonstrator!  It's a piece of handmade art!  OK, give me your feedback!

Come back tomorrow for the details about the cards!

Paisley Petals - Stampin Up 3-D Idea

I'm excited to share with you today my personally-designed Stampin Up 3-D idea - a Paisley Petals Purse.  As I said yesterday, I'm so in love with the Stampin Up Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper that becomes available April 1-30, and then again with the rollout of the big summer catalog.

I personally designed the pattern for this purse.  I am very happy with the design and I hope you like it too.

I decorated the purse's closure with one of the elegant Trinket Crowns (love the crowns).  I handstitched around the closure piece and added Velcro for the fastener.  I would love to know what you think of it, so please leave a comment. Thanks!

Come back tomorrow for more Paisley Petals paper crafts!

GREETING CARD IDEA - STAMPIN UP PAISLEY PETALS

My greeting card idea for today focuses on the beautiful, beautiful Stampin Up Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP) that becomes available April 1 through April 30, 2011.  I am excited that this DSP will be in the upcoming 2011-2012 Stampin Up Idea Book and Catalog and therefore be available for a year!  Purchase the DSP in April; I promise you won't be disappointed.

This greeting card features various papers of the Paisley Petals DSP.  I thought last summer's Stampin Up Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack was tops, but after seeing and working with the Paisley Petals, I completely changed my mind.  I am so in love with this paper.  Here's my first share that features Paisley Petals.

To emphasize the beautiful light blue DSP, I used Stampin Up Glitter, Fine Cosmo, Light Blue around the border of the Framed Tulips  embossing on the card front.  I also used the glitter on the inside of the card in the debossed tulips.  The "for you" sentiment on the card front is from the Stampin Up Elements of Style stamp set, and is built up with Stampin Up Dimensionals

To enhance the flower on the top card layer, I cut an additional, identical flower, applied Crystal Effects, and adhered it over the orignial flower with Dimensionals.  Also used on the card front is the Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon and Brads from the Subtles Collection.  The primary card stock for this greeting card is Tangerine Tango, and for the inside it is River Rock

Greeting Card Idea

Today, I am honored to feature a guest designer, Michelle, who made this card with Stampin Up products!  Michelle is my customer and I asked her to make a card so I could feature her on my blog.  I was pleased with her creativity that is shown in the development of the flower.  The card is bright and cheerful, don't you think?  She would love to have you comment on her card, so please leave a note.  Thank you!

Birthday Card Idea - Loads of Love

Need a birthday card idea for a male?  What about using the Stampin Up stamp set, Loads of Love, along with Loads of Love Accessories, and the Tailgating Wheel?  I love these products, just as so many others do.  This set has been around for several years, and I hope Stampin Up continues to include it in its catalog.

I made this birthday card for my son-in-law.  He has a very unique way with animals, so I thought the Loads of Love stamp set and the accessories were perfect for his birthday card.

I think the card is so "stinking" cute!  I had a lot of fun making it.  The card features the stamping technique, water coloring.

Water coloring and brayering are so much fun!  If you've steered away from these techniques, you are missing out on a lot of fun.  They are real art!

Other Stampin Up products used are: Lovely as a Tree stamp set (appropriately named); Watercolor PaperWhisper White, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Rich Razzleberry, and Pear Pizzazz card stock and various inks; Moonlight (for the headlight and windshield) and Silver Fox Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink (for the hubcaps and bumper of the truck); Round Tab Punch; and the Aqua Painter.

Buy these products on line.  Move your cursor over the blue links and you'll be taken directly to the products.

Come back to see beautiful paper crafts using the Spring is Blossoming, Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper that becomes available on April 1.

Blessings!

BIRTHDAY CARD IDEA

Looking for a Birthday Card idea?  This Birthday Card is one you can make for a special female.  This Stampin Up card is one I made for my daughter's birthday.  It features the Stampin Up colors, Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry, which go together beautifully.

I used the Stampin Up Designer Series Paper (DSP), Springtime Vintage, for the primary layer of the card.  I love this DSP, and will be sad when it goes away at the end of the month (crossing my fingers that it will be a carryover).  I turned up the lower-right side of the DSP to display both sides as they are equally beautiful.  Purchase Springtime Vintage before March 31!

This Birthday Card features four Stampin Up stamp sets:  Fifth Avenue FloralYou're a Gem, Clearly for You, and Curly Cute.  I used the water coloring technique on the Rich Razzleberry flower from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set.  The Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron Classic Stampin' Inks were used for the center of the flower.  I really like how it turned out.

Other Stampin Up products used for this greeting card are:

Curly Label Punch, Trinket Crowns, Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accents, Rich Razzleberry Taffeta Ribbon, and Linen Thread.

As usual, buy the Stampin Up products by placing your cursor over the blue links.  You'll be taken directly to the product.

SUNNY GARDEN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER - HOSTESS GIFT BOX

HOSTESS APPRECIATION

I work diligently to let my workshop hostesses know how much I appreciate them.  The following pictures are of a hostess gift box that I created for my last workshop hostess.  I love the Stampin' Up! Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper as it's so bright and cheerful.  I have been wanting to use the paper for something special; therefore, I used it in creating the hostess box.

As you can see, I inserted an abundance of different ribbon in the box.

HOW TO BE ECONOMICAL WITH STAMPIN UP SPONGES

Stop washing those sponges so you can use them over and over again, but in different ink colors!  If you haven't already found a way to save money on your Stampin' Up! Sponges, let me suggest a way for you.

Purchase THREE packages of the Stampin' Up! sponges at $3.50 each for a total of $10.50 (excluding taxes and shipping costs).

Cut EACH sponge into six wedges.

Using the Stampin' Up! Round Tab Extra-Large Punch, punch a piece of card stock from each card stock color (45 card stock colors counting the In-Color Collection), or of the colors you have.  Write on your punched out Round Tab the color of the card stock.  Place the Round Tab around the small end of the wedge and staple it.

Now you have a sponge for each ink color that you can use repeatedly for that particular ink color.  The sponges last a loooooong time.  I swear by the Stampin' Up! sponges.  Believe me, I've tried many other forms of sponges, and nothing gives me the effect I want like these sponges do.

Now that you have your sponges cut and labeled, you'll want to store them in a plastic container with dividers.  This will make it so easy to keep them in one place and to find the right color of sponge for your matching ink color.

If you haven't tried this, please try it and let me know what you think.

HAPPY SPONGING WHILE SAVING MONEY!

God's Blessings!
