Stampin' Up! Day of Gratitude

This week I will think about the many things for which I am grateful.  As I was deciding what Stampin' Up! (SU) card to make for today, I thought how grateful I am for the SU My Digital Studio (MDS) that allows me to create cards and scrapbook pages with retired stamps, embellishments, and Designer Series Papers (DSP).

I loved last year's Autumn Spice DSP that was in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I knew I had the  Autumn Spice Digital Kit that would allow me to create a card with some of the DSP.  Therefore, I used the digital DSP to create the first layer on this Old Olive card base.

Although I have in the Autumn Spice Digital Kit that includes the sentiment that I used, I also have the stamp set.  For the sentiment, I chose to use the stamp within the Day of Gratitude stamp set.

I made the Cajun Craze mat behind the sentiment with a tag from the Lots of Tags Sizzlits Die Set and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The leaves, which are also embossed, are from the Leaves #2 Original Die (love this die).  Can you see the heart that I formed with the stems of the two leaves?  I thought that would be cool for a "Gratitude" card.  The center of the heart is embellished with a Basic Rhinestone.  Lastly, the ribbon across the front of the card is Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon which is no longer available.

You can purchase the products used for this project by clicking on the links above or my SU store link below.

For those of you in the US, I hope you are thinking about the things for which you are grateful this week!

Stampin' Up! Greeting Card - Grateful for You - Spice Cake

This Stampin' Up! greeting card is dedicated to my friends and family.  I am very grateful for each and everyone of you!

This card features the Stampin' Up! Day of Gratitude stamp set and Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The DSP is so beautiful with many fall colors, and just the name of it, Spice Cake, makes me think, "Yummy"!

I made the card base from Whisper White cardstock, which I scored in the form of an "X" with the Stampin' Up! Simply Scoring Tool.  I then cut a piece of the DSP in the form of an "X" and adhered the pieces onto the card front with two front sides and two back sides of the DSP showing.

The card's center piece is made of Pool Party cardstock, the medallion stamp from the Day of Gratitude stamp set, a More Mustard Spice Cake Designer Button, and an Antique Brad.  I made the "Grateful For You!" greeting with My Digital Studio.  I used More Mustard, Pool Party, and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers (which you can buy individually) to color the medallion.

Stampin' Up! Triple Treat Flower and Spice Cake DSP

Hello, my friends, and Happy Monday!  This Stampin' Up! Greeting Card is so simple and yet beautiful.  The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used for the card is the Spice Cake DSP that has such beautiful designs.  This card features the Pool Party and Soft Suede design, which are the colors of cardstock used.

Also featured is the Triple Treat Flower stamp (page 18 of the large catalog) that matches certain designs of the Spice Cake DSP.  The Fancy Flower Punch is a perfect match for punching out the flower once it is stamped on cardstock.  The center of this flower is embellished with Stampin' Up!'s Basic Pearls.  The pearls add such a nice touch to any card.

The "Grateful" greeting is from the Always Thankful Stamp Set on page 19 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.  The wonderful Decorative Label Punch was used to punch out the greeting as well as to create a mat for it.

Going down the center of the card is a punched ribbon from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  I need to use that punch more often as it is a cool embellishment.  The corners of the cardstock and DSP were punched with the Ticket Corner punch.

Gee, I used four different Stampin' Up! punches on this card.  What is your favorite Stampin' Up! punch?  Whoever is the first to guess which punch (not necessarily used on this card) is my favorite will receive this card in the mail!

I hope you have a blessed day, and enjoy making Stampin' Up! Greeting Cards.
