Do You Remember the Stampin' Up! Strength and Hope Campaign?

Recall from May 1 to August 31, 2011, Stampin' Up! held a campaign to partner with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to raise funds for research.  Stampin' Up!'s campaign was started through the introduction of the Strength and Hope stamp set.  During this campaign, Stampin' Up! contributed $2.00 to the BCRF for EACH stamp set sold!  

I am so happy to share with you that Stampin' Up! contributed $60,000 to BCRF!  I am so proud of each and every one of you who purchased this stamp set and helped in the efforts to stamp out breast cancer.  

As you know, this is a subject very close to my heart, and if I could, I would give all of you a BIG HUG!  Again, THANK YOU!

Stampin' Up! Greeting Card - Christmas Lodge

Today's post is my first Stampin' Up! Christmas Card for this year.   It features the Stampin' Up! Christmas Lodge Stamp Brush Set, Digital Download for My Digital Studio (MDS).  I wanted a bigger lodge than the physical stamp image would provide, so once again, MDS to the rescue!  I enlarged the lodge, changed its color to Garden Green, and printed it onto Whisper White Cardstock.  The lodge was embellished with Dazzling Details, Mica Flakes, and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  It is matted with Green Garden and Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.
I included on two corners the lovely Holly and Berries from the Stampin' Up! Winter Wishes Stitched Felt collection.  Aren't they cute?  I love it when Stampin' Up! comes out with felt embellishments!

The "Merry Christmas" greeting is also from the Christmas Lodge Stamp Brush Set Digital Download.  I resized it as well, changed the color to Marina Mist, and matted it with Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.  It is embellished with Real Red Glimmer Brads.

The first layer of the card is a design from the Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper, which I think has lovely designs for Christmas projects.

Stampin' Up! Frightful Sight DSP - Halloween

I'm glad you came back today to see my next Stampin' Up! feature for this week.  It is a Halloween card made primarily with Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio (MDS).  The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used for this card is the Digital Frightful Sight DSP (the non-digital Frightful Sight DSP is on pages 22 & 185 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog 2011-2012). 
I chose the spider design from the DSP for the first card layer, and I enlarged it through MDS to get larger spiders on the DSP.  That's one of many things I love about MDS - you can manipulate the items to fit your needs! 

The second card layer is a spider web that I drew by hand.  The spider hanging from the "trick or treat" greeting is one that I cut out of the DSP and embellished it with Crystal Effects.

The frightful cat (lol) is from the MDS Cute Cats Stamp Brush Set, which is unavailable.  (That is one of the great things about Stampin' Up!'s MDS - once you've downloaded a item, it's available for use forever - it NEVER retires!)  And, that little bell around the cat's neck - isn't is so darling?  It is a Stampin' Up! Mini Jingle Bell from the current Holiday Mini Catalog.  (I think most stampers think of only using the bells on Christmas items.)  I attached the bell with Stampin' Up!'s White Baker's Twine that I rolled on my Basic Black Stampin' Pad to turn it black.  Isn't it so cute?  I also used the twine for the string that the spider is hanging from.

The cat's hat is from MDS Jack of all Trades Stamp Brush Set, which I enlarged slightly and embellished it also with Crystal Effects.

Last, but not least, the greeting is from MDS Spooky Things Stamp Brush Set (unavailable) that I also manipulated to the size I wanted and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch and matted it with the a cut-out from the Stampin' Up! Movers & Shapers, Punch Windows.

Stampin' Up! Greeting Card - Blue Chateau DSP - Breast Cancer Awareness

Good morning and thank you for stopping by to see my Stampin' Up! projects.  I hope you enjoy them.  I decided that this week's posts will focus on Breast Cancer Awareness, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  Don't forget to come back for each feature.

Have you tried the Stampin' Up! Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper (DSP) yet?  If you have, you'll agree with me that the designs are so pretty, especially the Soft Suede and Pink Pirouette design that I used on this card.  The design in person looks like a shimmery gold. 

Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this card would meet a need for a card to give to someone who currently is struggling with breast cancer.

The card was made from a 11" x 6-1/4" piece of Pink Pirouette Cardstock, and the fold of the card is called "Gatefold".  After folding the card, I cut the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper into sections to match the card panels and attached them with Sticky Strip.  For decorations, I used the butterfly stamp from the Creative Elements Stamp Set (love, love this stamp set) to stamp twice the butterfly image onto a piece of the DSP.  Then I cut out the butterflies, decorated them with Basic Pearls, and adhered them to a frame made with the Designer Frames Embossing Folder.  To create the scallop border on the two front pieces, I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  The card inside includes images from the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set.
