Stampin' Up! Greeting Card - White on White

The Late-Night Stampers group's card challenge (131) for this week is to create a Stampin' Up! Greeting Card that is white-on-white.  I created this card for the challenge, and I must say it was difficult to use only white and to create texture and layers that could been seen easily.

I started the card by dry embossing a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  I highlighted each dot on the edges of the cardstock with the Stampin' Up! Frost White Shimmer Paint.  Then I dry embossed another piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Stampin' Up! Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and wet embossed the lines with the VersaMarker and Stampin' White Embossing Powder.   I placed Basic Pearls Jewels strategically within the embossed Elegant Lines.

Using the Bird Builder Punch, I cut out two birds and their wings.  I covered the birds' bodies with White Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink and their wings with Dazzling Diamonds.  I used a pearl for their eyes.  I cut out an oval by using the new Designer Frames Embossing Folder and I wet embossed it with the White Stampin' Embossing Powder.  I attached the very bottom of one of the birds to the oval, leaving the bird raised up.  Using two layers of Stampin' Dimensionals, I attached the oval and bird onto the second layer of Whisper White cardstock.

I used the Boho Blossoms Punch to create two layered flowers that I covered with the Stampin' Up! Frost White Shimmer Paint and placed a pearl in their centers.  I adhered the flowers onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon that I wrapped around the cardstock in two places. Then I attached the second bird adjacent to the larger layered flower on the ribbon.  I attached this card layer onto the first layer, aligning the layer within the polka dots.

That's all, folks!!  You may purchase the items used in this project by clicking on the links (highlights) above.  The links take you directly to the Stampin' Up! on-line ordering process.

Stampin' Up! "Birds in the Vines" Greeting Card

As promised, I have another Stampin' Up! Greeting Card featuring the Stampin' Up! Sun Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) from My Digital Studio.  This design from the Sun Garden DSP is beautiful also.  I love the little birds all through the vines, thus, the title of my card.  I have to say, you cannot beat the cost of the MDS downloads when you compare the product received.  For example, this MDS DSP has 12 designs, all for just $4.95 (USA)!

The first, second, and third card layers are from the Sun Garden DSP.  They, too, are beautiful.  This card is embellished with a strip or Calypso Coral ribbon made with the Stampin' Up! Lace Ribbon Border Punch.  The bigger bird and vines were made with the Stampin' Up! Two-Step Bird Punch and Calypso Coral cardstock.  The "Just for You" sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Just Believe Stamp Set.  I hope you enjoy the card.

If you want to buy the Stampin' Up! Products used for this project, just click on the above links and you'll be taken directly to the on-line product.

Until the next time:

Stampin' Up! Sun Garden Greeting Card

Thanks for stopping in to see my Stampin' Up! Greeting Cards!  Today's share was created with the latest My Digital Studio (MDS) download, the Sun Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Isn't the paper beautiful?  And the download is just $4.95 (USA) for 12 designs!

I embellished this card with flowers I made by using the Stampin' Up! Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.  The flowers are setting on top of three layers of cardstock cut out with the Stampin' Up! Top Note Bigz Die.  The greenery is from the Stampin' Up! Two-Step Bird Punch.  The cardstock used is from the new In-Color Collection, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral.

As I was making the card, I searched for some matching ribbon.  Well, the ribbon I found is a perfect match; however, it is retired.  Hope you enjoyed the card.

Buy the Stampin' Up! products used for this project by clicking on the links above.  You will be taken directly to the on-line product.

Come back for more features of the Sun Garden DSP from MDS.

Until next time:

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Thanks Greeting Card & Doodling

It is Friday and my last feature of a Stampin' Up! Greeting Card and doodling (or zentangling) for a while.  I hope you have enjoyed this week's projects.  I have enjoyed zentangling the greeting cards.  Today's card share is a "heartfelt thanks" to you for supporting me this week with my art.  I greatly appreciate your emails and comments.

This card spotlights three stamp images from the Stampin' Up! Sweetheart Stamp Set.  I've had this stamp set for some time, and today is the first time I've used it.  I really like the outcome.

For the card base, one stamp image, and sponging, I used one of my favorite colors in cardstock and ink -  Cajun Craze.  I also used Basic Black, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White cardstock for the first, second, and third card layers.

If you would like to leave a comment about this week's projects, please do so.  If you would like to purchase any of the products used for this project, just click on the links and you'll be taken directly to the on-line product for purchase.

Stampin' Up! Greeting Card - Flower Fancy - Doodling

This is my fourth "doodled" Stampin' Up! Greeting Card share for this week.  This card features one of the stamp images from the Stampin' Up! Flower Fancy Stamp Set.  Using one of the floral images covered with the new In-Color, Cylpso Coral ink, I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock and, after doodling, colored in the white spaces with the Cylpso Coral Stampin' Write Marker that is from the 2011-2013 In-Color Collection. I love the new In-Colors!

I cut out the doodled flower and placed it on whisper white cardstock that I had stamped the same image on, but with Baja Breeze ink.  I doodled a stem for the flower on Lucky Limeade cardstock and cut and pasted it under the flower.  Because the doodling is in black ink, I added Basic Black cardstock as a layer to the card and used the Cylpso Coral cardstock as the card's base.  The sentiment, Birthday Wishes, is from the Stampin' Up! Bring on the Cake Stamp Set.

Don't forget to come back for the next doodling card tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Greeting Card - Doodling

Today's Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Greeting Card is dedicated to one of my sisters, Berneice, who passed away several years ago from breast cancer at the very young age of 36.  Her birthday is today.  Happy Birthday, Berneice!  You are greatly missed!

This card, the third card this week that I've added doodling, features the Stampin' Up! The Nicest Things Stamp Set.  I love how the little girls are gently touching each other and expressing their love.  I hope you can see the breast cancer ribbons in the little girl's dress.

The card base is Rose Red Cardstock and the first layer is the new Wisteria Wonder Cardstock.  This layer is embellished with the Stampin' Up! Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.  Various Stampin' Write Markers were used for coloring the little girls and their dresses.  That's all, folks, for the description of this card.  Hope you enjoy it!

Don't forget to come back for the next doodling card this week.

Stampin' Up! Thank You Greeting Card - Doodling

Today is my second feature of doodling a Stampin' Up! Greeting Card - a Thank You cardThis card spotlights the Stampin' Up! Blossom Petals Punch and the wonderful, new Stampin' Up! color, Pool Party from the 2011-2013 In-Color Collection.

As you know, doodling is drawing shapes that have no real meaning and can be abstract in form.  Therefore, I cannot explain how I doodle.  But I will say, just let your pen take you where ever you feel it should go and draw shapes that you enjoy - diamonds, Xs, squares, flowers, petals, circles, rectangles, squiggly lines, straight lines, wavy lines, etc., etc.  I encourage you to try it.  It's very relaxing, and I think it enhances Stampin' Up! products.

Here's a closeup of the doodling:

The card base is Stampin' Up! Basic Black Cardstock, the second layer is the beautiful Pool Party Cardstock, and the third layer is from My Digital Studio, 2011-2013 In-Color Playful Patterns.  Other Stampin' Up! products used for this project are:

Elegant Thank You Stamp Set
5/8" Whisper White Brad from the Neutrals Assortment
Basic Black Designer Button from the Neutrals Collection
Basic Black Brad from the Neutrals Collection

I think I like this card better than the one I shared on Monday.  What do you think?

Don't forget to come back for the next doodling card this week.

Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets - Doodling

This week's postings will feature Stampin' Up! greeting cards made by doodling.  I've enjoyed doodling for some time, and it's a good stress reliever.  Today's card spotlights doodling on two of the stamp images from the Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets Stamp Set.  Because I doodled in black ink, the card is basically black and white.  When I started to make the card, I thought of a friend who I met last year on the Auto Train while traveling from Florida to Virginia.  She loves black and white cards.  So this card is dedicated to you, Ginny!

Here's a closeup of my doodling:

The base for the card is Stampin' Up! Basic Black Cardstock that I embellished with the Stampin' Up! Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder.  I highlighted the flower centers with a White Gel PenThe first card layer is made with the new, beautiful Stampin' Up! cardstock color, Lucky Limeade, from the new In-Color CollectionThe top layer is Stampin' Up! Whisper White Cardstock.  The three-loop bow was made from Stampin' Up! Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.  You may purchase the Stampin' Up! products used in this project by clicking on the links within the post.  They will take you directly to the product.

I encourage you to try this technique.  You'll find it very fun and relaxing.

Don't forget to come back for the next doodling card this week.

Stampin' Up! Greeting Card - Pocketful of Posies DSP - Thinking of You

Are you one who says, "I can't make Stampin' Up! greeting cards"?  If you are, I have a very simple card share today, one that anyone can make.  It is simply made from Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP), the Pocketful of Posies.  Any DSP will work!  Just pick one and start layering.

My card features one of the new In-Color colors, Island Indigo.  (Love the new Stampin' Up! colors!)  The first layer on the card is from the So Saffron design from the Pocketful of Posies DSP.  The second layer is the Island Indigo floral design, which has the Poppy Parade design on the back.  The Poppy Parade design was used for the triangular shape on the top layer.  The sentiment, "Thinking of You...", is a stamp image from the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set.  Here is the card.

See how easy!  Now it's your turn!

Beyond the Garden Happy Birthday Greeting Card

My Stampin' Up! Greeting Card share today is quite different, and it features the Beyond the Garden DSP.  I decided to cut a piece of the DSP, ensuring I cut around the flowers on the paper to create a card front.  After adhering the DSP to the card front, I cut the cardstock (Bashful Blue) around the flowers of the DSP.  Here is the card.

Here is the inside of the card.

If you will note, the front of the card has a ladybug and butterfly perched on the flowers.  The ladybug was made using the Circle Itty Bitty Shapes Punch (body and wings) and an eye from the Owl Punch (head).  The butterfly is a stamp image from the Flower Fest Stamp Set.  The card front bow was made from Marina Mist Ribbon.

At first glance, the "Just for You" sentiment appears to be on the card front; however, the second picture above shows it's on the inside of the card.  This sentiment is a stamp image from the new catalog's, Tagtastic Stamp Set (Hostess)As you can see, I created a pocket on the inside of the card and inserted a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that says, "Happy Birthday".  The Happy Birthday sentiment is a stamp image from the Swirls & Curls Verses (Hostess) Stamp Set.   The following picture better shows the "Happy Birthday" insert.

I think the card is pretty cool!  What do you think?

Build A Cupcake Waterfall Happy Birthday Greeting Card

CHECK OUT MY NEW WEBSITE - STAMPINGWITHGUNEAUXDESIGNS.COM

My card share today features the WATERFALL TECHNIQUE and spotlights the Stampin' Up! Create A Cupcake Stamp Set; thus, the card is called "Build A Cupcake Waterfall Happy Birthday Greeting Card".  This is the first time I've created a card using the waterfall technique and I enjoyed it.  The card's "waterfall" reflects the process of "building" a cupcake.

Besides the Pink Pirouette Cardstock, the card is made with the new Stampin' Up! In-Color Collection, the Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder Cardstock.  I hope you like the card.

The following pictures are closeups of each section of the "waterfall".  Each sentiment and piece of the cupcake was made with a stamp image from the Stampin' Up! Create A Cupcake Stamp Set and cut out with the Stampin' Up! Cupcake Punch.  This section is the cupcake wrapper, which is made with the Pool Party Cardstock and Ink.

This section is the cupcake wrapper and the cupcake's icing, which is made with Pink Pirouette Cardstock and Ink, and is spritzed with the Stampin' Up! Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

This section is the cupcake wrapper, icing, and sprinkles.

This section, which completes the cupcake, is the cupcake wrapper, icing, sprinkles, and a cherry.

If you need a tutorial on how to make a waterfall card, please don't hesitate to ask.
