Happy Birthday Card - Comfort Cafe DSP & Apothecary Accents Framelits

Are you getting excited about the debut of the new Stampin' Up! Catalog?  When it debuts on June 1, you'll notice a lot of changes, good ones that is.  This project share features one of the beautiful, upcoming Designer Series Paper (DSP), Comfort Cafe DSP (126898) and a new Framelit, Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003).  This card features two of the designs for this DSP. The key color for these designs is Cajun Craze.

TIP:  If you will note, you can see that I used the negative of the new Framelit  for the first card layer.  Try that when you get yours.  Also, I covered it with Crystal Effects (love that stuff!).

Stampin' Up! Bordering On Romance

This is my third card this week that features the Stampin' Up! Bordering on Romance Stamp Set. Need I say again, I love this stamp set!

The left side of the card is a design from the wonderful Stampin' Up! Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, another one of my favorites from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The ribbon is the beautiful Stampin' Up! 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon in Riding Hood Red.  The new Adorning Accent Edgelits Die was used to create the right side of the card (Whisper White Cardstock), and it is embellished with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Smooch Pearlized Illuminate Top Coat.

Stampin' Up! Large Paper Doily, Flirtatious DSP, and Adorning Accents Edgelits

The Stampin' Up! Large Paper Doily Sizzlits Die is fairly large for 4" x 5-1/4" cards.  However, you certainly can cut out a portion of the doily to use on your card, as I did in this one.

I made the doily from the Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The first layer on the card is Pretty in Pink, which is embellished with one of the Adorning Accents Embossing Folder.  The pretty in pink second layer, as well as the flower, are from the Flirtatious DSP.  The following picture gives you another view of the card.

Apothecary Art - Happy Birthday

I am enjoying the Stampin' Up! Apothecary Art Stamp Set from the 2012 Occasions Mimi Catalog.  How about you?  This Happy Birthday card is made with the Stampin' Up! In Colors, Blushing Bride and Island Indigo.  The Twitterpated Designer Series Paper is featured on the card as well.

 

The new Stampin' Up! Adorning Accents Edgelits and Adorning Accents Embossing Folders were used on the bottom of the card.

Take it to Heart and Hearts Framelits - Valentine Card

Are you enjoying the new Stampin' Up! Hearts Framelits?  Aren't they fantastic?  Or maybe you haven't ordered them yet!  Please do; you'll love them!  I used one when developing this card.

I water colored the primary element on this card - the stamped bird and flowers heart-shaped image that is from the gorgeous stamp set, Take it to Heart.  I used one of the Hearts Framelits to cut out the stamped image.  I used the same framelit to cut out the heart in the center of the card's first layer, the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, and then slipped the water-colored piece inside.  The banner that holds the sentiment is also from the Take it to Heart stamp set.  The sentiment, "Be My Valentine", is from the Sweet Cake stamp set, and the small heart stamp from the Take it to Heart stamp set was used to stamp Cherry Cobbler ink onto the card's first layer.  The card base was made with Island Indigo Cardstock.   The hearts in the four corners of the card were cut out with the Heart to Heart Punch and embellished with the new hearts Adorning Accents Embossing Folder.   I hope you enjoy today's feature!
