Papaya Collage Stamp Set and Floral District DSP

Isn't he so cute; the bird that is?  He's looking at himself in the mirror!  This card features a Stampin' Up! stamp set that debuts on June 1!  It is called Papaya Collage (126612).  All of the stamp images are from this set.  The designer series paper (DSP) used is the beautiful Floral District (126919) that also debuts on June 1!

I used faux metal peel and stick easy liner to create the mirror.  I think it worked quite well.  What do you think?  The below picture is a closeup of the bird.  The following picture shows a slight reflection of him in the mirror.

I really like how the frame turned out.  I used the Pewter Embossing Powder (124114) on the frame, cut it out, and covered it with a new ink color from the 2012-2014 In Colors, the Primrose Petals (126858).  This same color in card stock forms the card base.  Enjoy!

Floral District DSP

My friends, I have fallen in love with the new Stampin' Up! (SU) Floral District Designer Series Paper (DSP) that becomes available on June 1!  I am so pleased with the new SU products.  My card share today features the DSP, and I have to say, that I really love this card.  It is so pretty in person.  When June 1 rolls around, you must order this DSP; you won't regret it.

If I have to say it myself, I think I did a very clever thing with the ribbon.  At first glance, it appears as though it is wrapped around the card, but it isn't.  In the following three pictures you can see that it's not.

Do you ever feel like your creativity is working at full speed?  I felt that when I was making the card.  I really like it, so much that I think I am keeping it for myself (lol).  Do you ever do that?

Stampin' Up! Products Used:

INK: Rich Razzelberry, Lucky Limeade, and Daffodil Delight

Mother's Day Card 2012

"We never know the love of the parent until we become parents ourselves."
Henry Ward Beecher

What a true statement!  Whether or not you're a parent, you may not appreciate just how much your Momma loves you.  Don't forget to let her know how very important she is to you and how much you love her on May 13, Mother's Day.

This card share is one for Mother's Day.  I would so much love to give this to my Momma, but she is in heaven.  But if your Mom is still with you, don't take her for granted and shower her with love and appreciation on her special day.  Make her a handmade card; she'll love that.

This card is made with Concord Crush Card Stock (which expires on May 31) and Wild Wasabi Card Stock.  It is 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored at the 3-1/4" mark.  The flower is a replica of one on the front page of Stampin' Up!'s May issue of Stampin' Success, a magazine that demonstrators receive monthly.  I made it by using the large leaf from the Blossom Petals Punch.  Isn't it so cute?  Guess which stamp I used to make the Wild Wasabi swirls at the top and bottom of the flower?

The right side of the card features the Vine and Blossom Standard Wheel,  Postage Stamp Punch, You're A Gem Stamp Set (which retires on May 31), and the word, Mother, on one stamp from Messages for Mom Stamp Set (which also retires).

ENJOY!

Stampin' Up! Bordering On Romance

This is my third card this week that features the Stampin' Up! Bordering on Romance Stamp Set. Need I say again, I love this stamp set!

The left side of the card is a design from the wonderful Stampin' Up! Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, another one of my favorites from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The ribbon is the beautiful Stampin' Up! 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon in Riding Hood Red.  The new Adorning Accent Edgelits Die was used to create the right side of the card (Whisper White Cardstock), and it is embellished with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Smooch Pearlized Illuminate Top Coat.

These products are scheduled to expire in 17 days.  Purchase them HERE before they expire.

God's Blessings!

Sale-A-Bration's Fresh Vintage Stamp Set and Twitterpated DSP

I love the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set in the Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration catalog, page 5, and decided I needed to create more cards using the set as Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31!  I think the floral stamp in this set is so very pretty, and it is featured on this card.  I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color the floral arrangement before stamping it onto the Whisper White oval.

The top portion of the card is a design from the beautiful Twitterpated Designer Series Paper.   The card base was made from Pretty In Pink Textured Cardstock.  Across the center of the card is a piece of trim made with the Stampin' Up! Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die, which is embellished with three Pretty In Pink Flower Brads and a sentiment from the With All My Heart Stamp Set.

Here are a couple pics with different views of the card.

Don't waste your time searching for the product numbers for this project.  Place your cursor over the links and you'll be taken  directly to the on-line product.
Remember you get FREE products during Sale-A-Bration when you make a $50 purchase (excluding taxes and shipping)!  Don't let Sale-A-Bration disappear before you get the free products you want.
