Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper Purse #2

My share today is another Stampin' Up! Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) Purse that I made using my pattern for the Beyond the Garden DSP Purse that I posted yesterday.  The purse will hold five 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" cards, depending on the cards' embellishments.

The pattern, as contained in my Beyond the Garden DSP Purse tutorial, allows for different decorations on the front of the purse.  This purse front is embellished with many blossom petals made with the Blossom Petals Punch.  I'm sure you've seen purses with numerous petals covering the purse front.  This purse resembles such purses.

The Poppy Parade Card Stock was used for the body of the purse and the blossom petals.  One of the designs within the Beyond the Garden DSP was used for the purse closure and the center flower of the purse front.  The petals were embossed with the Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and spritzed with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  The handle on the purse was made with Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon.

Stampin' Up! Beyond the Garden Purse

Hello, and thanks for stopping by to see my Stampin' Up! Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) Purse.  This DSP is so beautiful and it becomes available this Sunday, May 1

I personally designed the pattern for this purse, and it is different from the others I've designed.  This purse was designed to hold approximately five 5-1/2" by 4" cards, depending on the cards' embellishments.

I used Pacific Point Card Stock to create the purse closure and the blossom on the front, which is decorated with a Beyond the Garden DSP flower.  I used two Simply Adorned 8" Bracelets that are connected by a piece of old Wild Wasabi ribbon to create the purse handle.  As an added touch, on one side of the handle I attached a Simply Adorned 5/8" Square Charm that features "Guneaux Designs" inside, and on the other side, a Simply Adorned Clear Crystal Bauble.

Leave a comment on your thoughts regarding the purse.

Stampin' Up! Paisley Petals Purse and Matching Greeting Cards

My friends, I have another Stampin' Up! Paisley Petals personally-designed purse and matching greeting cards for you.  I am so enjoying my new line of creations using the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It has been great fun creating purses lately.  Today I'll discuss the purse and show closeups of it, and the rest of the week I'll discuss the greeting cards.

This purse measures 8" x 7-1/2" x 1", and it easily holds the three matching cards.  Actually, it will hold at least five, depending upon the embellishments added to the cards.

The handle of the purse was made by braiding two strands of Baja Breeze Seam Binding and one strand of Very Vanilla Seam Binding.  The purse front is made with Baja Breeze Card Stock, Paisley Petals DSP, and Baja Breeze DSP Patterns (unavailable).  The center piece of the purse is embellished with three Baja Breeze Vintage Flowers and several Basic Pearls Jewel Accents.

On the side of the purse are a Trinket Key and Vanilla Pearl Simply Adorned Bauble that are attached with Baja Breeze Seam Binding and part of the handle that was made with one of the Lots of Tags Stampin' Up! Sizzlits.

The last picture shows the inside of the purse that is designed with the reverse side of the Baja Breeze DSP Patterns that is on the front and sides of the purse.  I hope you've enjoyed my personally-designed purse!

I am looking forward to my next purse design!

Stampin Up 3-D Design - Paisley Petals Hand Purse and Greeting Cards

I'm excited today to share with you another Stampin Up Paisley Petals Design.  I am quickly using up the Designer Series Paper, so I can't wait until April 1 to purchase more.

My share is a hand purse, which I designed, and Stampin Up greeting cards small enough to fit inside the hand purse.  I am really pleased with my designs.  I must say, I so enjoy creating paper crafts!

I will share the details of the hand purse today, and the cards tomorrow.   The front of the hand purse is decorated with Baja Breeze Stampin Glitter, butterflies from the Stampin Up Beautiful Wings Embosslits Dies, and Basic Pearls Jewels

Are you wondering about the chain?  Well, it is the Stampin Up Simply Adorned 24" Chain.  I have to say that I was impressed with myself when I thought of using the chain for the purse handle (LOL - come on, aren't you proud of yourself occasionally?).  I think the chain fits just perfectly with the purse.  You will notice one of the beautiful, stately Trinket Crowns attached to the chain.  Just love it!

This picture shows the greeting cards inside the hand purse.  I used Velcro for the fastener.

Now, are you saying, "What can I do with a paper purse!"?  Let me tell you!  Wouldn't this be a beautiful gift for a hostess?  What about a birthday gift?  I think it would be perfect for a new Stampin Up Demonstrator!  It's a piece of handmade art!  OK, give me your feedback!

Come back tomorrow for the details about the cards!

Paisley Petals - Stampin Up 3-D Idea

I'm excited to share with you today my personally-designed Stampin Up 3-D idea - a Paisley Petals Purse.  As I said yesterday, I'm so in love with the Stampin Up Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper that becomes available April 1-30, and then again with the rollout of the big summer catalog.

I personally designed the pattern for this purse.  I am very happy with the design and I hope you like it too.

I decorated the purse's closure with one of the elegant Trinket Crowns (love the crowns).  I handstitched around the closure piece and added Velcro for the fastener.  I would love to know what you think of it, so please leave a comment. Thanks!

Come back tomorrow for more Paisley Petals paper crafts!

Petal Party

I love Stampin' Up!'s retired Petal Party Designer Series Paper, so I decided to see what I could create with it. I hope you enjoy viewing the samples as much as I enjoyed making them.  My favorite is a toss up between the mini purse and the flip flop for which I developed my template.  I placed the darling owl on the flip flop as the Designer Paper included an owl image.

Project Recipe

Stamp Set:  Asian Artistry
Paper:  Petal Party - Simply Scrappin'
Accessories:  Ribbon: Melow Moss, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, and Peach Parfait; Silver Elastic Cord; Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Brad; Subtles Buttons; Pearls from the Pretties Kit; Punches: Owl; Modern Label and Heart to Heart; Big Shot Textured Impressions Elegant Lines, Top Note, and Modern Label Punch Window; Pearl Smooch Spritz; Movers & Shapers Curly Label; Sticky Strip; Snail Adhesive; and Stampin' Dimensionals

I braided the ribbons to create the handle for the mini purse, and included magnets for the closure. Isn't it so cute!
When I showed this darling flip flop to my 7 year old granddaughter, Erika, she tried in on!  Of course it did not fit, but it was fun watching.
I love the owl punch - the owl is so darn cute! I can imagine other items to create from parts of the owl.  Can't wait to get started.
I love my three colorful cards that the Designer Series Petal Party paper allowed me to create.
