Scrapbook Pages - My Digital Studio

Happy Monday!  Today I am sharing with you my two 12" x 12" scrapbook pages that I made with the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio.  These pages are Christmas related, and I had so much fun designing them.  I couldn't stop adding elements to the pages, especially the Christmas tree.

Can you see all the punches, stamp sets, and embellishments that I added to the tree?  That's what is so great about My Digital Studio; you can use its contents for unintended purposes.  Wow, does it ever make creating scrapbook pages faster!

The primary element for these pages is the background paper.  It is from the Letters to Santa digital download, which is only $4.95!  You cannot beat that price for 12 different Designer Series Paper patterns!

Did you notice the black cat sitting under the Christmas Tree?  The cat represents my son-in-law's black cat named Bottecelli.  I love this cat!  He is so lovely and wants to be held and loved on all the time.  I've never seen a cat like him.

I hope you enjoy these pages as much as I enjoyed designing them.  Have a great Monday!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Greeting Card

I love the way this Stampin' Up! greeting card turned out!  I discovered a new way (or new to me) to use the Stampin' Up! Doily Triple Layer Punch.  The doilies creates beautiful Christmas ornaments!

To begin the description of the card, I'll start with the pine tree branch.  To make the branch, I cut small strips of Always Artichoke cardstock and snipped down both sides of each strip, leaving an un-cut center line.  I reshaped each of them and snipped off some of the "pine needles".  I used the Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker to color some of the needles and the center line.  Lastly, I randomly placed VersaMark ink over selected needles and the center lines and embossed them with Clear Stampin' Embossing Powder.  I think they look real!

The card base is Basic Gray cardstock that is layered with the Silver Glimmer Paper and Cherry Cobbler cardstock that is embellished with VersaMark, clear Stampin' Embossing Powder, and the snowflake stamp from the Delightful Decorations stamp set.

The ribbon at the bottom of the card is Always Artichoke 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, and the sentiment, "Thinking of you at Christmas", is from the Beautiful Season stamp set.

Now to the ornaments!  Using the Doily Triple Layer Punch, I punched four doilies for each ornament.  I folded each doily in the center and burnished it with a bone folder.  Using two doilies, I glued together one half of each of the two doilies.  I did the same with the other two doilies, and then I glued the two sets of doilies together to create one ornament.  I think they are so cute!  I used elastic cord to hang the ornaments on the branch.  The cardstock used for the ornaments is the Silver Glimmer Paper and Basic Gray to which I added the Stampin' Up! Silver Fine Galaxy Glitter.  The ornaments will fold down which makes it easy to insert them into an envelope.

I provided a side profile picture so you can better see the three-dimensional ornaments.  Now it's your turn to try them.  If you have questions, email me (addy is in my banner above).
What do you think of the ornaments?  I would like your feedback!

Stampin' Up! Greeting Card - Grateful for You - Spice Cake

This Stampin' Up! greeting card is dedicated to my friends and family.  I am very grateful for each and everyone of you!

This card features the Stampin' Up! Day of Gratitude stamp set and Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The DSP is so beautiful with many fall colors, and just the name of it, Spice Cake, makes me think, "Yummy"!

I made the card base from Whisper White cardstock, which I scored in the form of an "X" with the Stampin' Up! Simply Scoring Tool.  I then cut a piece of the DSP in the form of an "X" and adhered the pieces onto the card front with two front sides and two back sides of the DSP showing.

The card's center piece is made of Pool Party cardstock, the medallion stamp from the Day of Gratitude stamp set, a More Mustard Spice Cake Designer Button, and an Antique Brad.  I made the "Grateful For You!" greeting with My Digital Studio.  I used More Mustard, Pool Party, and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers (which you can buy individually) to color the medallion.

Stampin' Up! Triple Treat Flower and Spice Cake DSP

Hello, my friends, and Happy Monday!  This Stampin' Up! Greeting Card is so simple and yet beautiful.  The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used for the card is the Spice Cake DSP that has such beautiful designs.  This card features the Pool Party and Soft Suede design, which are the colors of cardstock used.

Also featured is the Triple Treat Flower stamp (page 18 of the large catalog) that matches certain designs of the Spice Cake DSP.  The Fancy Flower Punch is a perfect match for punching out the flower once it is stamped on cardstock.  The center of this flower is embellished with Stampin' Up!'s Basic Pearls.  The pearls add such a nice touch to any card.

The "Grateful" greeting is from the Always Thankful Stamp Set on page 19 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.  The wonderful Decorative Label Punch was used to punch out the greeting as well as to create a mat for it.

Going down the center of the card is a punched ribbon from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  I need to use that punch more often as it is a cool embellishment.  The corners of the cardstock and DSP were punched with the Ticket Corner punch.

Gee, I used four different Stampin' Up! punches on this card.  What is your favorite Stampin' Up! punch?  Whoever is the first to guess which punch (not necessarily used on this card) is my favorite will receive this card in the mail!

I hope you have a blessed day, and enjoy making Stampin' Up! Greeting Cards.
