Stampin' Up! Holiday Stockings Christmas Cards

I wanted to share today my darling Christmas cards that I made for my grandson and granddaughter by using the Stampin' Up! Holiday Stockings Bigz L DieWhen I make cards for my grandchildren, I make them exactly the same.  I don't want one of them to think my affection for the other is different, which it isn't.  I love my grandchildren so immensely!  I wish the love that every child receives could be equivalent to or more than my intense love for my children and grandchildren.
Now, let me share information about the cards.  The primary papers used are the Red Glimmer and Silver Glimmer PapersThe insides of the cards (text covered) feature a design from the Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper, and include more Red Glimmer Paper.

I left the inside top of the stocking's toe unglued so I could insert a gift.

The back side of the cards features the same design from the Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper.

Enjoy!!

Here's a last-minute, easy-to-make Stampin' Up! Christmas Card for you!

The card is made with Stampin' Up! Pacific Point Card Stock and features the Stampin' Up! Serene Snowflakes and Bells & Bough (sentiment) stamp sets.  The snowflakes were stamped with VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder.  The base is also embossed with the Designer Frames Embossing Folder in which sits the sentiment.  The large snowflake gives you a sneak peak of a new product that debuts on January 4, 2012 along with the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The product is Large Basic Pearls Jewels (item # 125577).  I really like the larger pearls.  The other snowflakes are embellished with smaller Basic Pearls Jewels.  Now, how easy is that!!  It's very simple but beautiful!

Stampin' Up! White Waffle Paper Christmas Tree

Hello, my friends, and thanks for stopping by to see my Stampin' Up! creation for today.  I hope you had a great weekend buying more goodies for the holidays!

The card share today, which features iris folding, gives you a sneak peek of White Waffle Paper (item # 125591) that debuts on January 4, 2012 along with the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  The Christmas tree is "iris folded" with the Stampin' Up! White Waffle PaperStampin' Up!'s waffle paper is superb for iris folding, and this white is so striking.
The card base is made with Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, star with Brushed Gold Card Stock, and tree trunk with  Gold Waffle Paper.  I used a permanent marker to color the Basic Rhinestones that are on the tree.  I think they really pop with the white background.  Lastly, the "iris" of the tree is made with Stampin' Up!'s Red Glimmer Paper.

The picture below gives you a closeup of the White Waffle Paper.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card - Bells and Boughs

Hello, and thanks for stopping in to see my Stampin' Up! project share for today.  I am sharing with you a beautiful Stampin' Up! Christmas Card that features one type of a diamond fold.  The primary element on the card is the holly berries and leaves stamp image from one of my favorite Stampin' Up! stamp sets, the Bells & Boughs. The primary card stock for the card is the Stampin' Up! Real Red (although it looks darker in the picture).

The holly berries and leaves image is embellished with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, another of my favorites.  This glitter really bring a dazzle to any project.  Atop the element is a bird made with the Stampin' Up! Bird Punch and the Language of Friendship stamp set. The "Christmas" sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Pines & Poinsettias stamp set.

The two side panels were made with Brushed Gold, Garden Green, and Whisper White card stock.  The panels are dressed up with the Soft Holly Standard Wheel and a poinsettia that I cut from the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Fabric (don't limit yourself with what you can do with fabric).   Enjoy!

Beautiful Season: Stampin Up Christmas Card

Thanks for stopping by to see my Stampin' Up! Christmas card for today.  If I have to say so myself, I think this is another beautiful card.

This card features the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Season stamp set.  I love holly leaf stamps.  They are so Christmas!  And the beautiful bird in this stamp is different from a typical Cardinal that we think of around Christmas; however, he is so cute on the holly branch.

The "A Gift for You" sentiment is from the same Beautiful Season stamp set.  I love how Stampin' Up!'s stamp sets coordinate so well.  I occasionally have to remind myself of this as I can take that for granted after using Stampin' Up! stamps for so long.

To make the card, I used Wild Wasabi Card Stock for the card base. I embellished the card base with the pine cones from the Pines and Poinsettias stamp set to which I added Dazzling Diamonds.  The mat behind the bird and holly was made with Real Red Card Stock that I embellished with the new Stampin' Up! Snow Burst Embossing Folder.  And the card is topped off with a Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon bow.  I hope you enjoy the card enough to CASE it, and come back for tomorrow's feature.

Holly Berry DSP: Stampin' Up! Christmas Card

I love the Stampin' Up! Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper (DSP)!  I used it to create this beautiful Stampin' Up! Christmas Card.  And, in case you've not noticed, I love this type of fold for a card.

I used several Stampin' Up! products for this card.  They are:

Card Stock:  Wild Wasabi and Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls, Basic Rhinestones, White Embossing Powder, Tasteful Trim, Certainly Celery Glitter (retired), and Clear Trim Tinsel (retired)

This is a picture of the card's inside:

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card 2011

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  My Stampin' Up! Christmas card today is the result of an experiment.  I decided to see if I could emboss with two different embossing powders on the same piece of card stock.  It worked!!  I've learned that embossing powders will not cross contaminate.

The top left side and the bottom right side of the card is embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  The top right side and the bottom left side is embossed with Wild Wasabi embossing powder.

I also used a permanent marker to color the pearls on the leaves.  It worked perfectly!

This picture if of the card's inside.  I hope you enjoy the card.

Don't forget about the ongoing Stampin' Up! Extravaganza.  It runs through this Wednesday!

Winking Santa Owl 2011

Do you recall the Stampin' Up! Winking Santa Owl that I designed with the Owl Builder Punch in the fall of 2010 (click here to see it)?  That card has been the most viewed card of any others that I have designed.  Thus, I decided to make a Winking Santa Owl for 2011.  Here it is:

This year I decided not to use the typical red and white colors.  Instead, I used primarily Pacific Point and Wild Wasabi.

The Wild Wasabi background features the Stampin' Up! Northern Flurry Embossing Folder and the Whisper White cardstock features the new Stampin' Up! Snow Burst Embossing Folder.

I designed the tree branches upon which the Santa Owl rests, and I embellished them with the new Stampin' Up! Dazzling Details.  The white part of Santa's hat anchors the new Stampin' Up! Mica Flakes.  The Santa Owl is winking, as he was last year, because although the sentiment says, "He's gonna find out whooooose naughty or nice!", Santa will always fill up our hanging, bright stockings and place our desired gifts under the tall,  blinking Christmas tree!  Actually, the sentiment was made using My Digital Studio (MDS).  I love MDS!  Do you own it?  If not, purchase it here.

Lastly, the ribbon that flows behind the sentiment is a retired Pacific Point Striped Poly Ribbon.  (The bumps from the embossed snowflakes gives the ribbon a raised look in spots.)   Other Stampin' Up! products used are the Scallop Edge Border Punch and Olive Fine Supernova and Black Fine Galaxy Stampin' Glitter.

I hope you enjoy the card as much as I enjoyed making it!

Stampin' Up! Holly Berry, Bells & Boughs

Although Thanksgiving has yet to pass, it's difficult for me to not make Stampin' Up! Christmas cards, especially since I'm thoroughly enjoying using the Stampin' Up! Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), physically and digitally.  Here's a Diamond Fold Card using the DSP and the Stampin' Up! Bells & Boughs stamp set.

The card base is made with Stampin' Up! Real Red Cardstock, and layered with Soft Suede Cardstock and the Holly Berry DSP.

The diamond portion of the card is layered with Garden Green and Soft Suede Cardstock and one of the designs of the DSP.  The bells stamp from the Bells & Boughs stamp set was covered with various Stampin' Up! Write Markers and stamped on Whisper White Cardstock.  They were cut out and adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I made the "Ring the Bells of Christmas" sentiment with My Digital Studio

The inside of the card features the Holly Berry DSP as well.  The sentiments are from the Stampin' Up! Come to Bethlehem stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Greeting Card

I love creating with the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio!  This beautiful card incorporates many elements from many stamps, punches, and embellishments.  Look closely at the card and see how many elements you can find.  Some are very small, so scan slowly (lol).  Some of the elements are from the free digital downloads that Stampin' Up! gave you during the Digital Scrapbooking Day.

OK, what do you think?  If you've not used your My Digital Studio to create cards, I encourage you to give it a try!  If you've not purchased it, you're missing out!!

Stampin' Up! Pines & Poinsettia

So, my friends, how are you progressing with making your Stampin' Up! Christmas cards?  Let me share one that you can duplicate easily.

I made this card with the beautiful Stampin' Up! Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The card base is Real Red cardstock that is layered with a design from the DSP.  On the left side is a Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, and DSP mat to which I added a Real Red Satin Ribbon bow.  The card's dominate piece is from the Stampin' Up! Pines and Poinsettia stamp set.  I used several Stampin' Write Markers to ink the stamp before stamping it onto Whisper White cardstock, which I matted with Real Red cardstock and embellished with the superb Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

I think it is a beautiful card and easy to make.  Now it's your turn!

Stampin' Up! Snow Much Fun

My Stampin' Up! Greeting Card today features the Stampin' Up! Snow Much Fun stamp set.  In addition to the stamp set, also featured is the Northern Frost Decorative Strip.  Snow is so beautiful, but I must say that it's good living in Florida right now.  My thoughts and prayers are with those who were hit by the big snow storm up North.
More on the card -- the card base is Bashful Blue Cardstock, and the second layer is the Silver Glimmer Paper (love this paper).  The top layer is Whisper White Cardstock that is embossed with the Snow Burst Textured Embossing Folder (what a "cool" embossing folder [pun intended - LOL]).
The snow flakes and parts of the snowman are embellished with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter or Dazzling Details.  This is a very easy card to case.  Hope you enjoy it.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Greeting Card

I love the way this Stampin' Up! greeting card turned out!  I discovered a new way (or new to me) to use the Stampin' Up! Doily Triple Layer Punch.  The doilies creates beautiful Christmas ornaments!

To begin the description of the card, I'll start with the pine tree branch.  To make the branch, I cut small strips of Always Artichoke cardstock and snipped down both sides of each strip, leaving an un-cut center line.  I reshaped each of them and snipped off some of the "pine needles".  I used the Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker to color some of the needles and the center line.  Lastly, I randomly placed VersaMark ink over selected needles and the center lines and embossed them with Clear Stampin' Embossing Powder.  I think they look real!

The card base is Basic Gray cardstock that is layered with the Silver Glimmer Paper and Cherry Cobbler cardstock that is embellished with VersaMark, clear Stampin' Embossing Powder, and the snowflake stamp from the Delightful Decorations stamp set.

The ribbon at the bottom of the card is Always Artichoke 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, and the sentiment, "Thinking of you at Christmas", is from the Beautiful Season stamp set.

Now to the ornaments!  Using the Doily Triple Layer Punch, I punched four doilies for each ornament.  I folded each doily in the center and burnished it with a bone folder.  Using two doilies, I glued together one half of each of the two doilies.  I did the same with the other two doilies, and then I glued the two sets of doilies together to create one ornament.  I think they are so cute!  I used elastic cord to hang the ornaments on the branch.  The cardstock used for the ornaments is the Silver Glimmer Paper and Basic Gray to which I added the Stampin' Up! Silver Fine Galaxy Glitter.  The ornaments will fold down which makes it easy to insert them into an envelope.

I provided a side profile picture so you can better see the three-dimensional ornaments.  Now it's your turn to try them.  If you have questions, email me (addy is in my banner above).
What do you think of the ornaments?  I would like your feedback!

Candy Cane Christmas

I finally got around to making a card with a Stampin' Up! sound card (item 121007).  The Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) (item 120809) was perfect for my first try.  This card was a hit as a display item at last weekend's workshop. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy pressing the "play" button (LOL).

The front of the card was inspired by a similar card created by Sarah Miller, but with alterations and different papers.

I used the Baja Breeze with Real Red polka dots paper from the SDSP for the primary cover on the front, spine, and back of the card.

Other designer paper from the Candy Cane Christmas SDSP was used as well as Baja Breeze (item 111352), Blushing Bride (item 119797), and Real Red (item 119940) cardstock.  Additional Stampin' Up! products used were:  Word Play Stamp Set (item 120651); Top Note bigz die (item 113463);  Scallop Edge Border (item 118402), Photo Corners (item 119878), and Boho Blossoms (item 119858) punches; Petals-a-Plenty (item 116824) and Northern Flurry (item 120902) textured impressions folders; Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (item 109034); Candy Cane Christmas Designer Fabric (item 121715); Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item 119246); Heat and Stick Powder (item 100625); Dazzling Diamonds (item 102023) and Fine Cosmo (item 108796) Stampin' Glitter; and Stampin' Up! adhesives.

All products can be purchased at my Stampin' Up! 24/7 store.  I hope you have enjoyed my production.

Now, tell me what you liked about it!

Deck the Halls

Stampin' Up! made a superb business decision when it offered the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper (DSP) (item 120810).  I am so in love with the quality and beauty of this paper, and so many other products featured in the Holiday Mini.  I have so enjoyed making cards with this DSP.

The following card features the Deck the Halls DSP on Always Artichoke (item 105119) and Cherry Cobbler (item 119685) cardstock (love, love Cherry Cobbler).  The mat behind the sentiment from the Peaceful Season Hostess stamp set (item 121124) and the corners were dry embossed with the Stampin' Up! Petals-A-Plenty textured embossing folder (item 116824).  The "cannot live without" Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (item 113439) was used in the embossing process.  For embellishments, I used the Silver (item 120994)  and Clear (item 120993) Tinsel, and the Stampin' Up! rhinestones (item 119246).  What a beautiful card with so little product.

The card below, featuring another design in the Deck the Halls DSP, is beautiful also.  I am enjoying working with the Stampin' Up! Waffle Paper (item 120985), which is the "mat" behind the bells stamp from the gorgeous Bells and Boughs stamp set (item 121142).  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.  This card is embellished with the bling-bling of the Real Red Glimmer Brads (item 121006).   The Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler cardstock was used, as well as the Stampin' Up! Champagne Glitter Glass (item 120997).

The following beauty features yet another design of the Deck the Halls DSP.  I embossed the paper using the Embossing Buddy (item 103083), VersaMark (item 102283) and Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder (item 109130).  The Tags til Christmas stamp set (item 121169) was used for the ornament, which is embossed with the Iridecent Ice Emboss Powder (item 101930).  The Basic Gray cardstock (item 121044) was cut with the Big Shot and Top Note Bigz Die (item 113463), modified, and embossed with the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder.  The embellishments are 5/16" Silver Brads (item 112534), Silver Tinsel, Silver Glass Glitter (item 120995), and 5/8" Basic Gray Satin Ribbon (item 117666) that is painted partially with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (116806).

I think pairing the Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler is quite striking.  Hope you enjoy!

Simon, Theodore, and ALVIN!

When I first received the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Merry Crittermas Stamp Set, I knew right away the item I would create.  I thought of the Chipmunks Christmas Album from way back (I have the cassette - that's how far back)!

I can hear Dave calling the #1 Chipmunk's name,
"A L V I N"!  Can't you hear it too?

The three are in their living room decorating the Christmas tree.  I drew and inked in the wood floor, walls, and base boards.  I used the heat embossing technique on the three chipmunks and their tree. I had FUN creating this card!

Now for the important stuff - supplies used:

STAMP SET:  Merry Crittermas
PAPER:  Candy Cane Christmas DSP and Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, and Whisper White Cardstock
INK:  (Classic Stampin' Pads and Markers)
Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Garden Green, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Creamy Caramel (retired), Real Red, and Frost White and Champagne Mist All-Purpose Ink
ACCESSORIES:  Glimmer Subtles Brads, Clear Trim Tinsel, and Blushing Bride Ribbon Stitched Poly
ENJOY!

God Bless!
